Notes

Elecampane (Inula helenium) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy or clay soil. It grows as a strong, upright plant 3 to 6 feet high. Open sprays of bright yellow, daisy-like flowers appear in summer, and bees and butterflies visit them.

Pairs well with Dalmatian bellflower, Shrub rose, and Foxtail barley.
