Notes
'Expression' onion (Allium cepa 'Expression') is a vegetable for food gardens, borders, and containers. It is typically grown as an annual. It ranks among the more cold-hardy crops, and with some winter protection it keeps growing through light freezes. This plant likes full sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. This large, yellow Spanish onion is an intermediate-day type.
Pairs well with Thyme, Habanero habanero pepper, and Common comfrey.
