Notes
Fairy washboard (Haworthiopsis koelmaniorum) is a succulent for containers, rock gardens, and indoor growing. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun. Its grey-green rosettes are about four inches across. Raised lighter ridges on the leaves look like a washboard, and white flowers open in early to late spring.
Pairs well with African daisy, Crocus, and Strawflower.
