Notes

False boneset (Brickellia eupatorioides) is a perennial for borders, meadows, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist, sandy or clay soil. Sturdy upright stems branch above and look bushy on older plants. The whitish flowers are not showy, but the fluffy seed heads stand out after frost. Butterflies visit it, and it handles dry spells well.

Pairs well with Big bluestem, Little bluestem, and Flowering spurge.
