Notes
'Flambeau' Chilean guava (Ugni molinae 'Flambeau') is a shrub for fruit, containers, and fragrant evergreen interest. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun. Its small blue-green leaves have creamy white edges, and new growth is flushed with pink. Fragrant pink and white bell flowers hang from the stems in late spring. Ruby red fruit forms in summer and fall with a strawberry and pine flavor.
Pairs well with Oleander, Pomegranate, and Jasmine.
