Notes

Fortnight lily (Moraea vegeta) is a bulb for mixed borders, containers, and pond and pool side plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil. White blooms with yellow and purple accents rise above vase-like clumps of narrow, blue-green leaves, and the plant is drought tolerant once established. Lift and protect it over winter where it is not hardy. It sits low on the menu for deer.

Pairs well with Century plant, Oleander, and Red Lion amaryllis.
