Notes

Golden barrel cactus (Kroenleinia grusonii) is a succulent for borders, containers, and xeriscape beds. This plant likes full or part sun and dry, sandy or loamy soil. It grows about 24 inches tall and 24 to 36 inches wide. Bees visit it, and it tolerates drought, so it needs little care. It sits low on the menu for deer and rabbits. Plant it where its round shape can stand out.

Pairs well with Silver sage, Prairie dropseed, and Dragon tree.
