Notes

Golden trumpet (Allamanda cathartica) is a shrub for containers, specimen plantings, and privacy screens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun and average to wet soil of most types. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. Its yellow blooms have white throat markings and a sweet fragrance, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Cup and saucer vine, Blue daisy, and Wax myrtle.
