Notes

Cup and saucer vine (Cobaea scandens) is a vine for borders, containers, cottage gardens, and accents. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun and average to moist soil of most types. Its fragrant blooms open green and mature to purple. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the flowers, and the vines cascade as they climb quickly.

Pairs well with Niobe clematis, Black Knight butterfly bush, and Little bluestem.
