Notes

'Goldsturm' black-eyed Susan (Rudbeckia fulgida 'Goldsturm') is a perennial for borders, cottage gardens, pollinator gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It forms a clump and bears yellow flowers from early to late summer, and butterflies, bees, and birds visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It also tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Pale purple coneflower, Indian grass, and Aromatic aster.
