Notes
Green comet milkweed (Asclepias viridiflora) is a perennial for pollinator gardens and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy or loamy soil. Butterflies and bees visit the pale green flowers, which grow in clusters in the upper leaf axils. The seed pods are about four inches long and pointed at both ends.
Pairs well with Nodding onion, Indian grass, and Smooth aster.
