Notes
Hardy gloxinia (Incarvillea delavayi) is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, containers, and cottage gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Deer tend to pass it by. Pink to red trumpet flowers open in late spring and again in early to late summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Munstead lavender, Japanese forest grass, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
