Notes
Hardy terrestrial orchid (Pleione limprichtii) is a perennial that grows 4 to 8 inches tall. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes part sun and dry to average soil. It blooms in early to late spring with deep fuchsia-pink flowers that have red spots on the tubular lips. The plant grows from a pseudobulb that rests in winter, so keep it dry then. Colonies slowly multiply over time.
Pairs well with Sedge, Blue star creeper, and Sorrel.
