Notes

Horseradish (Armoracia rusticana) is an herb for containers and the food garden. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It has large, shiny, dark leaves and small white summer flowers that attract bees. Deer tend to pass it by. It spreads fast, so give it a quiet, sunny corner where it won't crowd other plants.

Pairs well with Potato, Lovage, and Dark Opal basil.
