Notes

Jacaranda (Jacaranda mimosifolia) is a tree for containers, specimen planting, and xeriscape gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows fast and tolerates drought. Blue-purple flowers open in spring and again in summer, and bees and birds visit them.

Pairs well with Flamboyant, Orange bougainvillea, Blue grama, and Frangipani.

Argentina and Bolivia.
