Notes

Jelly palm (Butia capitata) is a palm for borders, containers, and low maintenance, xeriscape gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It is evergreen and tolerates drought, so it needs little fuss once settled. Yellow flowers appear through the year.

Pairs well with Dragon tree, Prairie dropseed, and Pomegranate.
