Notes
'Kinnow' mandarin orange (Citrus reticulata 'Kinnow') is a fruit tree for the food garden. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun. The fruits are juicy and have a rich, aromatic flavor, though they have seeds and are not as easy to peel as other mandarins. The dense, willowy foliage makes an attractive tree.
Pairs well with Hass avocado, Hachiya persimmon, and Flowering banana.
