Notes
'Laïla' freesia (Freesia 'Laïla') is a bulb for cut flowers and specimen plantings. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The fragrant, semi-double flowers are cobalt violet with a white center and a yellow blotch, and they bloom from early to late summer. M. Penning & Zonen B.V. bred it.
Pairs well with Creme de Cognac dahlia, Tuscan Blue rosemary, and Vetiver.
