Notes

Madagascar palm (Pachypodium lamerei) is a succulent for containers, xeriscapes, and low maintenance gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun and dry, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Its fragrant flowers can appear in any season. Deer rarely make it their first choice. It is drought tolerant, so let the soil dry out between drinks.

Pairs well with White sage, Matilija poppy, and Little bluestem.
