Notes

Magnificent elecampane (Inula magnifica) is a perennial for borders, with huge leaves and tall stems. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, loamy soil. Yellow daisy flowers with narrow, spidery petals open in candelabras from early to late summer. Bees and butterflies visit the blooms. The plant can reach 6 feet tall and wide, so give it plenty of room.

Pairs well with Coneflower, Eryngo, and Knotweed.
