Notes

'Mary Evelyn' dahlia (Dahlia 'Mary Evelyn') is a bulb with large burgundy-red petals around smaller white ones and a bright yellow center. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry soil. Bees visit the single blooms from early to late summer and again in early to mid autumn. Deer tend to pass it by. Protect it from winter rain, or lift and store it in a cool, dry, frost free place.

Pairs well with Buffalo grass, Desert spoon, and Bindweed.
