Notes

'Nufar' basil (Ocimum basilicum 'Nufar') is an herb for food gardens, containers, and borders. It is typically grown as an annual. Frost will kill it, so set it out only after the last frost in spring. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer or rabbits, though hungry ones will eat almost anything. This Fusarium-resistant Italian Large Leaf type has fragrant leaves that bees and butterflies visit.

Pairs well with Curly parsley, Buttercrunch lettuce, and Cilantro.
