Notes

Orange sneezeweed (Hymenoxys hoopesii) is a perennial for borders and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and average to wet soil of most types. Large, yellow, daisy-like flowers open in loose clusters from early to late summer and again in early autumn, and butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits tend to browse other plants first.

Pairs well with Lucifer montbretia, Russian sage, and Purple top.
