Notes
'Orchid Flash' fire spinner ice plant (Delosperma 'Orchid Flash') is a succulent. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil. Purple flowers with creamy-white centers open in mid-morning and close at night. Deer tend to pass it by. Bees visit the blooms, and well drained soil protects the plant from winter wet.
Pairs well with Blue grama, Avens, and Feather reed grass.
