Notes

Parrot's beak (Lotus berthelotii) is a perennial for containers, rock gardens, and borders. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy or loamy soil. Deer tend to pass it by. Its silver foliage trails in a creeping mat and carries red blooms in spring and summer. Hummingbirds and butterflies visit the flowers.

Pairs well with Cape leadwort, Coral plant, and Supertunia Vista Bubblegum petunia.
