Notes
Cape leadwort (Plumbago auriculata) is a shrub for borders, containers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full or part sun, average moisture, and sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It has an arching habit and pale blue flowers. The evergreen leaves stay green, and the plant tolerates drought and salt. Deer tend to browse other plants first.
Pairs well with Olive, Silver sage, and Karl Foerster feather reed grass.
