Notes
'Plenum Violaceum' hardy geranium (Geranium pratense 'Plenum Violaceum') is a perennial for border plantings, low maintenance beds, and ground cover. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It blooms in spring and again in summer, and butterflies visit the flowers. Deer and rabbits tend to pass it by. It also tolerates drought once settled in.
Pairs well with Paula Fay peony, Foxglove, and Cleopatra foxtail lily.
