Notes

Ponytail palm (Beaucarnea recurvata) is a low maintenance shrub for containers, specimen planting, and xeriscape. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 10 and warmer, down to about 30°F (-1°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun and dry to average soil of most types. Deer tend to pass it by. This evergreen has a cascading habit and grows slowly, and it tolerates drought well.

Pairs well with Tuscan Blue rosemary, Arizona Sun blanket flower, and Blue grama.
