Notes

Prairie groundsel (Packera plattensis) is a perennial for meadow plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to full shade and dry soil. It grows 1 to 2 feet tall and blooms in late spring and early summer. Clusters of yellow, aster-like flowers top the stems. It can spread by stolons to form colonies, so give it room.

Pairs well with Porcupinegrass, Skyblue aster, and Prairie junegrass.
