Notes
'Preta' echeveria (Echeveria 'Preta') is a succulent for containers, rock gardens, and houseplant collections. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full sun and dry soil. It forms a medium sized rosette of jet-black leaves with bright green centers. Bright light brings out its richest color, and red flowers appear in summer.
Pairs well with Coppertone stonecrop, Desert spoon, and Heavy Metal switchgrass.
