Notes

Prickly poppy (Argemone polyanthemos) is an annual for meadows and annual beds. This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or clay soil. It grows 24 to 48 inches tall and bears white flowers with yellow centers in spring, summer, and autumn. Bees, butterflies, and beetles visit the blooms for nectar. The leaves and stems are covered in slender yellow prickles, so plant it where people will not brush against it.

Pairs well with Sensation Mix cosmos, Red fescue, and Pearly everlasting.
