Notes

Pearly everlasting (Anaphalis margaritacea) is a perennial for borders, rock gardens, and meadows. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Its papery white flowers last a long time and work well in dried arrangements. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice. It spreads slowly by rhizomes, so give it room.

Pairs well with Snowflake moss phlox, Red fescue, and Shrubby cinquefoil.

Asia and North America.
