Notes

Quaking grass (Briza media) is a grass for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows 24 to 36 inches tall, tolerates drought, and attracts birds. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. Its flowers appear in spring, summer, and autumn.

Pairs well with Snowcap Shasta daisy, Red Velvet yarrow, and Jenny Bloom red-hot poker.
