Notes
'Raven' dawn redwood (Metasequoia glyptostroboides 'Raven') is a tree for specimen use and rain gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to wet, clay soil. It grows fast and forms a pyramidal shape. It can reach 70 to 100 feet tall and 25 to 50 feet wide, so give it plenty of room. Deer tend to browse other plants first.
Pairs well with Tamarack, Cinnamon fern, Spicebush, and Meadowsweet.
