Notes

'Red Damask' broom tea tree (Leptospermum scoparium 'Red Damask') is an evergreen shrub for borders and containers, and it needs little care. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and dry, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Fragrant blooms open in spring and again in summer, and bees and butterflies visit them. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Anouk Spanish lavender, California poppy, and Heavy Metal switchgrass.
