Notes

Rock harlequin (Capnoides sempervirens) is a perennial for low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 2, or down to -50°F (-46°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry to average soil of most types. Pink and yellow flowers dangle in clusters above bluish-green, lacy leaves, and butterflies and bees visit them. The plant can become weedy, so watch where it spreads. Rabbits tend to pass it by.

Pairs well with Little bluestem, Eastern white pine, and Catawba rhododendron.
