Notes

Ruby necklace (Crassothonna capensis) is a succulent for containers, ground cover, and low maintenance gardens. It grows outdoors year-round in USDA zone 9 and warmer, down to about 20°F (-7°C). In colder areas, grow it as a houseplant or bring it indoors for winter. This plant likes full or part sun and dry, sandy or loamy soil. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything. Its blue-green leaves are held upright and spread in mats like little pickles. Bright yellow daisies appear from late spring through fall, and bees visit them.

Pairs well with Silver squill, Dragon tree, and Vetiver.
