Notes
Rupture-wort (Herniaria hirsuta) is an annual for ground cover, naturalized areas, and annual beds. This plant likes full sun and average moisture. It grows up to 3 inches tall and spreads 3 to 9 inches. Small yellowish-green flowers appear in early to mid summer. The low mat of growth fills gaps between other plants, so you can use it to cover bare soil.
Pairs well with Melampodium, Red fescue, and New Zealand spinach.
