Notes

Sage-leaf mullein (Phlomoides tuberosa) is a perennial for borders and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 6, or down to -10°F (-23°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Its lavender-pink flowers attract butterflies, bees, and birds, and the plant is drought tolerant. It is not a favorite of deer, though hungry deer will eat almost anything.

Pairs well with Blue mistflower, Fountain grass, and Smoketree.
