Notes

Sargent cherry (Prunus sargentii) is a tree for specimen planting, shade gardens, and low maintenance landscapes. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average to moist soil of most types. It grows at a rapid rate and forms a dense shape. Pink flowers attract butterflies, bees, and birds. Once settled in, it tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Susan magnolia, Golden Tiara hosta, and Carnaval De Nice tulip.
