Notes

Kwanzan cherry (Prunus 'Kanzan') is a tree for borders, containers, and specimen planting. It is hardy to USDA zone 5, or down to -20°F (-29°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to moist soil of most types. Deep pink double flowers open in spring, and the leaves turn color in fall. Bees and birds visit the tree, and it tolerates dry spells once settled.

Pairs well with Juneberry, Shasta daisy, and Sweet alyssum.
