Notes

Silverlace vine (Fallopia aubertii) is a vine for ground cover on large areas and slopes. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun. It can grow six feet a year and spreads by underground rhizomes, so give it room. Fragrant white flowers cover it in late summer and fall, and butterflies visit them. Leave it alone to reach 25 to 35 feet tall, or prune it hard in late winter to keep it contained.

Pairs well with Panicle hydrangea, Dawn redwood, and Monkshood.
