Notes
Panicle hydrangea (Hydrangea paniculata) is a shrub for small gardens, large pots, and dried flower bouquets. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry soil. Lightly scented, lacy white cones turn baby pink and mid pink with age. The stems are red, and the flowers bloom on new wood. Bees visit the blooms.
Pairs well with Nepeta, Gro-Low fragrant sumac, and Purple lovegrass.
