Notes

Siskiyou lewisia (Lewisia cotyledon) is a perennial for containers and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full sun to part shade and dry, sandy or loamy soil. Neat rosettes of fleshy, spoon-shaped leaves hug the ground. Stalks rise to about 1 foot and carry large white or pink-striped flowers. Give it perfect drainage, because the taproot rots easily.

Pairs well with Pussytoes, Glory-of-the-snow, and Poverty oatgrass.
