Notes

Spanish broom (Spartium junceum) is a shrub for borders, low maintenance gardens, and naturalized areas. It is hardy to USDA zone 8, or down to 10°F (-12°C). This plant likes full sun and dry to moist soil of most types. It grows fast into a broad, evergreen shrub with fragrant yellow flowers. The blooms open in early to late summer and again in early to late autumn. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal.

Pairs well with Tickseed, Mondo grass, and Cherry laurel.
