Notes

Squid agave (Paleoagave bracteosa) is a succulent for borders, containers, and low maintenance gardens. It is hardy to USDA zone 7, or down to 0°F (-18°C). This plant likes full sun and dry, sandy or loamy soil. Deer usually look elsewhere for a meal. The evergreen leaves add year-round form, and the plant is drought tolerant. Hummingbirds and birds visit it.

Pairs well with Sunburst aeonium, Paddle plant, Turk's head cactus, and Narrow-leaf chalksticks.
