Notes

'Sterling Star' lily (Lilium 'Sterling Star') is a bulb for borders, cut flowers, cottage gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and average moisture. The light cream-white blooms have reddish spots in the center, smell sweet, and open from early to late summer. Butterflies, hummingbirds, and birds visit the flowers. Oregon Bulb Farms bred it in 1973.

Pairs well with Bowl of Beauty peony, Sweet William, and Little Lime panicle hydrangea.
