Notes

Summer savory (Satureja hortensis) is an annual for borders, containers, food gardens, and xeriscapes. This plant likes full sun and dry to average, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. Pink or white flowers attract bees. Its erect stems carry green and copper foliage. Deer and rabbits usually look elsewhere for a meal. The fragrant plant grows quickly to 12 to 24 inches tall and tolerates drought.

Pairs well with Chives, Curry plant, Purpurascens sage, and Rosemary.
