Notes

Swamp loosestrife (Decodon verticillatus) is a shrubby perennial for pond margins, bog gardens, and waterside plantings. It is hardy to USDA zone 3, or down to -40°F (-40°C). This plant likes full or part sun and moist to wet soil. Deep pink flowers open in dense clusters in summer and draw bees and butterflies. The arching stems can root where they touch the water, so give it room to spread.

Pairs well with Broadleaf arrowhead, Cranberry, and Regal Splendor hosta.
