Notes

'Thunderhead' sedum (Sedum 'Thunderhead') is a perennial for borders, pollinator gardens, and containers. It is hardy to USDA zone 4, or down to -30°F (-34°C). This plant likes full or part sun and dry to average soil of most types. Huge, billowing flower heads rise above succulent leaves that emerge blue green with burgundy highlights, then turn burgundy, brown, and red. Butterflies, bees, and birds visit the blooms. Deer and rabbits rarely make it their first choice.

Pairs well with Silver feather grass, Russian sage, and Rosemary.
